The new telephone service is a lot quicker to get answered and the staff are very helpful even if unable to give an appointment they have tried alternative ways to help me I am also impressed with the new Anima I have used twice and got such speedy efficient response. The doctors are excellent. My only request is it would be helpful if once a month a late night surgery was available to book in advance for working people

I agree with this lady’s comment. Priory Gardens surgery was excellent prior to its move to the Hub. It is now an empty shell. Cannot get through to get an appointment if you get through told to ring back as none available for 2 weeks but you need to call back as will be released in 2 days! When you are there the waiting areas are empty. Sit and wait keep being cancelled if you are not on social media you wouldn’t know. Admin staff are good but are triaging at the front desk no privacy explaining symptoms. They are promoting PPG survey on Facebook but you can’t scan unless you see a poster. This could be an issue for Healthwatch response level too. I realise services are stretched but somehow we need to know if there is a difficulty recruiting GPs or flaw in their systems for accessing appointments

This surgery has some of the most unhelpful receptionists on Planet Earth. They just want to do the barest minimum and the only part of their policies they want to enforce is the part where you can’t

Absolutely shocking regarding booking appointment. The Priory have now contracted Care Hub to receive calls and book appointments. States open from 8.00 am on web site tried calling at 8.00 am states open during office hours. Does not inform what the office hours are therefore not sure what time to ring. I am completely frustrated at an incompetent practice even when in house booking appointments were in place when I did get through was told all appointments gone ring back so therefore becomes a lottery. Paid into system only to be let down. Poor service not acceptable. Therefore will be taking this up with my MP.

Since the surgery moved to the new hub the service and patient care has been awful. Yesterday I went to the surgery and spoke to the receptionist who was about as useful as a chocolate teapot!!
I had developed a severe UTI and as a kidney transplant patient knew I needed antibiotics asap. I had previously been prescribed a particular treatment I knew would work and asked if it would be possible for a GP to issue a repeat prescription so that I could start it asap before my kidney got infected. The reply was “It doesn’t work like that, go home and call 111”. Fuming, I went home and after an hour eventually spoke to a very helpful lady who asked one of their GPs to call me. The GP arranged for me to visit the out of hours GP clinic and the GP immediately issued me with the antibiotics. The out of hours clinic is in the same building as the surgery!!! If only the receptionist at the surgery had actually cared and done the job in the first place I would not have wasted 3 hours trying to get treatment. Oh how I miss the familiar faces and kind, helpful receptionists from the old surgery.
