Leighton Buzzard Voluntary Patient Transport (LBVPT)
Leighton Buzzard Voluntary Patient Transport (LBVPT) provides transport for the elderly and vulnerable to and from local hospitals.
The service is available to those who do not qualify for NHS non-emergency transport or are unable to go to hospital appointments by any other means.
LBVPT asks for a donation to cover the cost of providing the service.
HeadsUp
HeadsUp is a campaign to help men stay happy. The campaign targets men aged 30-59 in Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire. The campaign is designed to offer men a source of information and guidance about any mental health issues they may be facing, communicated in a style to which they can relate.
Carers in Bedfordshire
Carers in Bedfordshire is a registered charity existing to help family carers and former carers cope with the mental and physical stress arising from their role. We offer assistance such as practical help, advice, training, advocacy, support and information.
The Avenue
The Avenue holds relaxed, informal support groups in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. Families can come and chat to other families who understand the highs and lows of living with a child with Autism.

St John’s Hospice, Moggerhanger
Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice is situated in the village of Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire. Set in its own grounds and surrounded by farmland, it’s a haven of tranquillity while being accessible from nearby Sandy and Bedford. They care for people who are approaching the end of their lives with progressive illnesses. We have a 15-bed inpatient unit which is open round the clock.

We are a voluntary and community sector support organisation that develops, enables, promotes and supports local voluntary and community action (including volunteering) across Bedfordshire.
Groundwork Luton & Bedfordshire
Groundwork Luton & Bedfordshire delivers evening youth provision across the whole of Central Bedfordshire. We also deliver a busy youth café and youth action programme in Houghton Regis. Groundwork also provides 1 to 1 mentoring to 10 – 18 year olds across the whole of Central Bedfordshire. The mentoring project is for those who have low to medium needs, including issues with attainment, behaviour and attendance at school.

Special educational needs and disability (SEND) parent, children and young person partnership service offers a free confidential support service for parents and carers of children with special educational needs.
