Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC)’s You Can Do IT! project is now in its second year and over 170 people have taken part in sessions to learn how to get online and use digital devices.
Over 1,400 sessions of one-to-one tuition have been delivered across the eight groups that currently run in:
- Dunstable – Monday PM
- Biggleswade – Tuesday PM
- Houghton Regis – Wednesday AM
- Flitwick – Wednesday PM
- Bromham – Wednesday PM
- Putnoe – Thursday AM
- Sandy – Thursday PM
- Bedford Town Centre – Thursday Evening
Not only can learners learn how to use their own phones, laptops and tablets, but there is also the opportunity for people at sessions to borrow devices. This has been hugely beneficial for Bedfordshire residents who lack the skills or equipment that are necessary to function in an increasingly digital world.
There is currently space to receive new referrals for people who are in need of some one-to-one support in using their devices to get online. Although BRCC are not able to offer at home support, if you know of anyone who would benefit from joining one of the You Can Do IT! groups, please either call direct on 01234 838771 or visit www.ywb.org.uk/it.
