The sun is shining and we are now thinking about our summer holidays.
Going on holiday is an exciting time, but it requires a lot of advance planning. First there’s booking the time off work, then you’ll need to locate the passports for travel abroad. Next, there’s arranging airport transfers, getting medical travel insurance and buying your holiday essentials. That’s not to mention the ‘all-important’ beach-body diet. There is a lot to do for a week or fortnight of relaxation and culture.
Getting vaccinated before travelling abroad
Another essential step is to establish whether any vaccinations are required for your chosen destination. The requirement varies as per the individual region, the purpose of your trip and your own health-risk status.
Some GP Practices offer travel vaccinations, but please allow 6-8 weeks prior to travelling.
