I think Specsavers in Leighton Buzzard does NHS hearing now?
Good afternoon,
Many thanks for leaving this feedback. Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire have reached out to Scrivens for further information on this.
Scrivens looks after my NHS hearing aids. I used to go to Salisbury House surgery in Leighton Buzzard (LB), where I live. One hearing aid stopped working in early April. Scrivens no longer comes to LB. I have to drive to Ampthill (40 minutes away) and the earliest appointment is 16 May. People who don’t drive will have to get 2 buses, taking 1 hour 44 minutes. I complained via Scrivens website but have had no reply.

Specsavers offer free hearing tests in Leighton Buzzard, but according to their website only certain postcodes and GP locations are eligible for NHS funded hearing aids and only for adults aged 55 and over. Patients need to go onto the Specsaver website, enter their GP postcode and if eligible will need to visit their GP for a referral. The GP will then advise how the hearing appointment can be made.
