Review for 111 service NHS

I called the 111 service after waking with a sharp and severe pain in my stomach. After a short series of questions with the operator I was told that a clinician would call me back to discuss my symptoms further. I was then contacted by a clinician around 30 mins later, I was asked some more questions and then advised that I should go to the walk-in centre, an appointment was made for me which meant that I could be seen straight away , saving me from joining the queue in the waiting room which had a 3 hour wait! I would definitely recommend this service as it both enabled a clinician to determine the initial seriousness of my symptoms whilst I was still at home and then also enabled me to be seen for a physical appointment as soon as possible
