The Eve Appeal is the only UK charity raising awareness and funding research in all five gynaecological cancers: womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal. Looking to save women’s lives by funding ground-breaking research which is focused on developing effective methods of risk prediction, earlier detection and screening – the things we know make a difference.
The Eve Appeal has grown and developed in parallel with our core research team, the Department of Women’s Cancer at University College London (UCL), taking place in 31 institutions across 15 countries. The world-leading research that we fund is ambitious and challenging but our vision is simple: A future where fewer women develop and more women survive gynaecological cancers.
Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month/Make Time for Tea
Every March, The Eve Appeal joins forces with other ovarian cancer charities, including Ovacome, Ovarian Cancer Action, Target Ovarian Cancer, along with other organisations and activists throughout the UK, to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and its signs and symptoms.
Make Time for Tea is a campaign encouraging people to host tea parties and bake sales to raise money and awareness. Now in its 13th year, Make Time for Tea has raised £982,303.70 to date. The Eve Appeal are hoping to go over the million pound mark this year.
