As the leading Mental Health charity across Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes providing a range of different services in the support of mental health, we are committed to ensuring that no one has to experience a Mental Health Problem alone.

Mind BLMK are delighted to be working collaboratively with CAMHS and East London Foundation Trust (ELFT) across Luton, Central Bedfordshire and Bedford, to provide crisis services for young people in need of mental health support. This new provision in Sandy follows the successful launch of our Young Person’s Sanctuary in Luton, Bedford, Houghton Regis and Leighton Buzzard earlier this year and it will offer help and advice for anyone between 14-17yrs.

We will be launching at the Sandy Community Children’s Centre, Laburnum Rd, SG19 1HQ on the 30th of September, where we will be operating every Saturday and Sunday 4pm – 10pm.

Our Young Person’s Sanctuaries are safe, non-judgemental spaces that you can come to if you find yourself in crisis or mental distress in the evenings.

There is no need to call and book an appointment, simply drop in and you will be met by a trained youth mental health worker who will listen and help you identify ways to address the problems you are facing.

The teams will also be able to refer and signpost to other services if required. For more information about our Young Person’s Sanctuaries, please visit our website: Young Person’s Sanctuary – Mind BLMK (mind-blmk.org.uk)
