Members of our team of volunteers, Directors and staff came together to hear more about the work we have been undertaking, at our Annual Away Day on 29th April 2025.

HWCB Away Day 2025

Kim Petty at HWCB Away Day 2025We were also fortunate to have Kimborocks.com who shared her experiences of accessing healthcare services and how she manages her mental health.

✨️  Kim is advocating raising awareness of attitudes towards disability – with her motto being ‘ability within disability’.

🪁  A truly inspiring young lady 😊

HWCB Away DayThe afternoon started with a fitness session from FitTish Training 🏃‍♀️

We were encouraged to take part in either chair-based exercises, or standing exercises, depending on our own personal fitness levels. It was a great way to get our mind, body and spirit working together and looking after our own wellbeing.

Diana Blackmun, Chief Executive concluded the informative day with a summary of next steps, and the projects we are undertaking, and said,

A heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated and valued volunteers, including our brilliant young volunteers, who are truly at the heart of everything we do. Their passion and commitment make an enormous difference, and we simply could not achieve what we do without their  support. I would also like to thank our incredible staff team, whose hard work ensures the voices of our local community are heard and continues to drive forward improvements in local services. Together, you make Healthwatch what it is, impactful, inclusive, and community-led.
