Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire was delighted to welcome over 300 visitors to our Festival for Older People at The Rufus Centre, Flitwick, on Friday 3 October 2025.

This vibrant annual event brought together local residents, services, and community organisations to celebrate and support older people in our community. Visitors enjoyed a wide range of health and wellbeing opportunities, including free flu jabs, hearing tests, blood pressure checks, massages, and access to advice, information, and guidance about local services. There was also the chance to purchase locally made goods, enjoy free refreshments and lunch, and support the Macmillan Cake Stall.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed – from the generous sponsors, dedicated stallholders and staff to our wonderful volunteers who generously gave up their time to ensure the event was such a success. Most importantly, thank you to our lovely visitors for making the day so special.

Together, we created a truly welcoming and supportive environment that reflects this year’s theme: ‘Leave no one behind: promoting a society for all.’
