Let’s Talk about Cancer – The National Cancer Plan
Wednesday, 22, April 2026 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The National Cancer Plan was published on World Cancer Day 4 February 2026, setting out the priorities and commitments needed to make England a world-leader for cancer survival and build an NHS fit for the future.
The National Cancer Plan sets out how we will improve cancer outcomes, experience, and equity over the next decade. It is informed by lived experience, clinical insight, and evidence. The Plan’s central ambition is that by 2035, more people will survive cancer or live well with cancer, delivering the fastest improvement in cancer survival this century.
Amanda Pleavin, Managing Director for the East of England Cancer Alliance will be sharing details of what the plan means for patients in this area. Alongside Amanda we will hear from a patient who was part of the development of the plan.
