We were delighted with the success of our recent men’s health event, which was very well attended and brought together local men, health professionals and community partners for a highly informative and welcoming day.

The event was a joint initiative, co-produced by Cllr Steve Addy, Mayor of Ampthill, and Luke Newman from ‘For Men to Talk’, highlighting the value of partnership working in promoting men’s health and wellbeing.

Many of the men who attended were able to have their blood pressure checked, helping them gain a better understanding of their current health and identify any potential concerns early on. Alongside this, attendees received practical information and guidance on a wide range of men’s health issues, empowering them to take positive steps towards looking after their wellbeing.

The event was further enriched by excellent presentations from our speakers, who shared valuable insights, advice and resources in an engaging and accessible way. We are also grateful to our sponsors; ‘Ampthill V Cancer’, ‘Ampthill Fireplaces’ and ‘The Workshop’, whose support made this event possible.

Overall, it was a hugely positive event that encouraged open conversations about men’s health and provided attendees with knowledge and support they can take forward.
