Carers in Bedfordshire

We are an experienced charity supporting Unpaid Carers, of all ages, across Bedfordshire. We provide individual support, training to help Carers develop new skills, grants and four Carers Hubs across the county where Carers can meet our Support Workers and other  Carers who understand their situation.

Central Bedfordshire Council – Support for Carers

A carer is anyone who provides unpaid care for a family member or friend who, due to illness, disability, a mental health problem, or an addiction, can’t cope without their support.

People who provide unpaid care and support to others view themselves as doing what anyone else would do for a loved one, rather than seeing themselves as carers. Although there are many positive and rewarding aspects to caring, there are lots of reasons why the experience can also leave the carer needing support.

Central Bedfordshire Council – Support for Young Carers

Are you a child or young person who cares for a brother, sister, parent, or family member?

Life for a young carer can be demanding, as they take on a caring role whilst attending school, studying for exams, and finding time for friends and caring for themselves.

Our offer is available to all young carers registered with us, including the many fun events, activities, and trips we arrange! Parents need to register their children as young carers with the council.
