‘No Wrong Doors for Young Carers’ is designed to improve joint working between children’s social care, adult social care, ICBs and other key system partners such as health providers, education and the voluntary sector in relation to identification and support for young carers.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is also designed to support increased use of ‘whole-family approaches’ across health and social care. It also helps to ensure that local authorities, ICBs and health providers are able to comply with their legal obligations towards young carers and young adult carers and will support work relating to CQC and Ofsted assurance processes.
You can find the refreshed MoU via the www.carers.org/nowrongdoors.
