The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) would like to invite you to a Carers Central event to celebrate and highlight national carers week, the theme for this year is “Recognising and supporting Carers in the Community”.

To highlight this theme, DRC are bringing together organisations that provide specific support to unpaid carers, and giving you an insight into some of the changes that are happening with GP support for unpaid Carers, information about the New Carers Strategy and new additional services specifically for unpaid Carers.

The main aim of the event is to provide awareness and support to unpaid carers.  Carers week is an annual national campaign to raise awareness of caring and helping others.

There will also be various activities, information and presentations aimed at enhancing and understanding your own wellbeing including free chair-based yoga from 12:30 – 13:30, and a chance for you to get your blood pressure and CO2 checks done with Total Wellbeing Luton until 12pm.

A light lunch will be provided and a chance to network throughout the day.

The event will be taking place at the Central Baptist Church, 52A Park Street, Luton, LU1 3ET, limited parking is available and is disability accessible.
