
Public Medical Lecture – ‘Liver Disease’

The presentation will cover:
‘Fatty liver – the silent threat’ a summary of what fatty liver disease is, it’s diagnosis and management
‘Alcohol-related liver disease stemming from misuse and dependency – addressing the stigmas. Also will be discussing the Path-2-Recovery (P2R) service, the joint clinic and Bedford’s in-house alcohol liaison nursing team.
‘Viral hepatitis’ a liver disease caused by several different viruses, including hepatitis B and C.
‘Opt-out Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs) Screening’

There will be a stand with plenty of leaflets available for the audience, covering topics such as MASLD, viral hepatitis, alcohol, and healthy eating.
