The Central Bedfordshire Falls Prevention Service (CBFPS), delivered by East London Foundation Trust (ELFT) in partnership with local organisations, began on 8 September 2025 and will run for an initial 12 months.

The service offers:

  • A single point of contact for referrals, available 24/7
  • Expert assessments and tailored exercise programmes
  • Group and one-to-one therapy, including post-hospital discharge support
  • Falls prevention training for care homes

Older people, their families, and carers can self-refer, or referrals can be made by GPs and health professionals.

Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire welcomes this new initiative as an important step in preventing avoidable harm, improving wellbeing, and reducing pressure on health and care services.

👉 To access the service, call 0345 602 4064, email singlepoint.ofcontact@nhs.net, or ask your GP or healthcare professional.
