Every GP practice must have a Patient Participation Group (PPG) which includes patients and staff members of the GP practice.

A PPG can offer feedback to the GP practice from a patient perspective, assist GP practices to make the best use of their resources, improve communication, influence decisions about which services are provided at the practice and offer practical support.

The PPGs can also help to promote good health and reduce health inequalities which are ‘unfair and avoidable differences in health across the population, and between different groups within society’. These include how long people are likely to live, the health conditions they may experience and the care that is available to them.

Completing this questionnaire will help HWCB to understand what you know about your PPG at your GP practice and encourage you to join your PPG.
