Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) have developed a new Adult Social Care Strategy, which will guide their efforts from 2024 to 2029 for Central Bedfordshire with a vision:
“To help people live their own lives and play a full and active part in the life of the community.”
CBC’s strategy is built on collaboration, reflecting feedback gathered throughout 2024 from residents, people who use services, their carers, communities, and professionals within adult health and social care. They’ve listened closely to what people have told them, and the feedback has been essential in shaping the strategy.
CBC strategic aims and priorities
The strategy outlines four strategic aims and key ambitions to steer the future development of adult social care services in Central Bedfordshire. These ambitions align with the council’s priorities and their commitment to enable residents to live active, healthy, and independent lives, and to ensure that those in need of support receive the right care at the right time and in the right place.
The council’s strategic aims are supported by clear “we will” statements, ensuring that residents know what to expect and providing a roadmap for continuous service improvement.
The Strategy is now available on the Council’s website: Adult Social Care Strategy | Central Bedfordshire Council.
