Since 2004, Carers in Bedfordshire has built a reputation for high-quality services, led by carers for carers. They are now looking for individuals committed to their purpose, objectives and values to bring new experiences and perspectives as Trustees of Carers in Bedfordshire.
Trustees are responsible for ensuring the charity is doing what it was set up to do. They make decisions about how the charity is run and agree future developments. The Board meets six times a year: four ‘business’ meetings when Trustees review the charity’s day-to-day activities; and two ‘strategy’ meetings examining bigger issues.
They are open to applications from people with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds, however they are particularly interested in hearing from people over 18:
- With experience of caring for a child under 18
- Who live in West Mid Beds (Cranfield, Woburn, Ampthill, Flitwick, Barton-le-Clay areas)
- Who have professional experience of working in primary care; Young People’s services; business development, fundraising, marketing or social enterprise; public sector commissioning or volunteering.
Please contact Carol Solaiman for an informal chat on tel 0300 111 1919 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date for applications is 12th April 2019.
