This is a call out to young people aged 14 – 18 from across the East of England – Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk!
- Are you passionate about making a difference?
- Would you like to play a key role in shaping a world-leading children’s hospital?
- Could you be a champion for children and young people?
Cambridge Children’s Hospital are setting up a brand-new Youth Forum for the Cambridge Children’s Hospital project and would love you to get involved. It’s a hugely exciting opportunity, as you will be part of the team developing the first specialist children’s hospital for the Eastern region. It will be unique in treating mental and physical health together, alongside pioneering research. www.cambridgechildrens.org.uk
The Youth Forum commitment is to attend an online meeting every 4 – 6 weeks and the occasional face-to-face event. You need to be prepared to speak up and tell us how this new hospital can be the very best it can be for young people.
If you would like to apply to be a member of the Youth Forum, then please complete this form, (with your parent/carer if you are under 16). To join, you need to be in school years 10 – 13 in September 2023.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, be an advocate for other young people, and to enhance your employability skills. You will be able to claim reimbursement for your time and enjoy social events, too!
The first meeting will be in September. If you apply, Sarah Allen from the Cambridge Children’s Hospital Youth Forum will get in touch to book in a telephone or Teams call with you over the Summer to say “hello!”
