Our Health Awareness Event for people with Learning Disabilities, focusing on Hypertension, took place on Wednesday 12th February at The Rufus Centre in Flitwick.
Simone Mingay, Clinical Nurse Manager, East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) informed us about the importance of attending your annual health check and showed us an interesting video of what to expect when attending your health check.
We were also fortunate to have the fabulous guys and gals from Living It Up Performing Arts Centre perform some popular songs, which got everyone singing and moving in their chairs, and some of the audience even got up to dance.
There was also the opportunity for people to have their blood pressure checked.
From the feedback received on the day, this event proved to be very popular and was rated 10 out of 10!
