Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) and NHS England, working with local GP surgeries, Central Bedfordshire Council and other partners are proposing to create a new purpose-built Integrated Health and Care Hub in Dunstable town centre. The idea is that the new ‘Hub’ could include three of the current town centre practices and also provide other health and social care facilities in the same building.
The range of services expected to be delivered from the Hub will provide more integrated care across GP practices, mental health, community health and social care services, for all ages.
This proposal would see the following GP practices move into the new Hub:
- Dr Hassan and Partners, Priory Gardens
- Dr Quartly and Partners, West Street Surgery
- Dr O’Toole and Partners, Kirby Road
BCCG and NHS England are writing to all patients currently registered at the three GP practices to inform them of the proposal. They are being invited to fill in a questionnaire which is available on BCCG’s website and in printed format at the surgeries.
The survey is also designed to capture the views of all patients in Dunstable and the surrounding areas.
The consultation will run until midnight Sunday 7 April 2019.
