Residents are urged to have their say on changes to how Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) charge for adult social care.
If you or a loved one accesses social care, or you’re planning for the future, then these changes could affect you.
The consultation opened on Monday, 27 January and closes on 20 April 2020.
For the last ten years, what and how customers need to pay is set out in their Adult Social Care Charging Policy, which is based on national legislation. It needs to be fundamentally reviewed and updated now, to take into account the changes to how the Council receive funding since the Policy was created.
CBC want to hear your thoughts on the proposals. To have your say visit the consultations webpage or pick up a paper copy of the consultation summary and questionnaire at their offices in Dunstable and Chicksands or one of the libraries.
CBC will also be writing to current customers who could be impacted if the changes are approved.
For more information on these changes please visit Central Bedfordshire Council’s website.
