People aged 50 to 64 will get free flu vaccine from 1 December as part of expanded flu vaccination programme this winter.

Adults over the age of 50 will be able to get their free flu vaccine from 1 December in the next phase of this year’s expanded flu vaccination programme, the government has confirmed.

Individuals aged 50 to 64 will be able to get a vaccine from their GP or pharmacy. This significant new group can now be included in the flu programme, with the initial phase of flu vaccinations well under way.

NHS BLMK CCG are encouraging you to have the flu vaccination.

One of our volunteers, Carol Carter, recently attended the flu jab clinic at Marston Moretaine Surgery:

On Saturday 19th September my partner and I attended the Flu Jab session at the Marston Surgery.  We found it to be very well organised and, bearing in mind that they processed almost 700 patients that day, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.

It was heartening to see later in the day other supportive and complimentary posts on a local village Facebook group.

Well done and thank you to all the staff at the Surgery.

To check if you are eligible for a FREE vaccination, please contact your GP or pharmacist.
