DESCRIPTION:London Luton Airport Ltd (LLAL) are currently consulting and asking for feedback on expansion plans\, to make the best use of the existing runway at the airport.\nThey are proposing to make best use of the existing runway by building a new terminal\, infrastructure\, public transport facilities\, and improvements to roads and highways. This is classified as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project\, and so will be decided by the National Planning Inspectorate and the Government\, rather than by local planning authorities. \nThis event is a drop-in consultation and as such you can visit whenever is most convenient for you during the opening hours. \nThe consultation is open until Monday 16 December so if you are unable to attend the consultation event\, you can submit the feedback form online by visiting the website: futureluton.llal.org.uk; download and print the feedback form from the website\, complete and send it back via their freepost address: Freepost Future Luton LLAL; or email your comments and/or feedback form to futureluton@llal.org.uk .

SUMMARY:Hospice at Home Services
DESCRIPTION:The  is funded by the National Institute for Health Research and is a collaboration between the Universities of Kent\, Surrey and Cambridge\, Pilgrims Hospices\, the National Association for Hospice at Home and NHS England\, and is supported by Hospice UK. The study aims to find out what features of Hospice at Home models work\, for whom\, and under what circumstances. \nThe study team will be running two national consensus workshops in January in Leeds and London which will help them to review their study findings and produce guidelines for Hospice at Home services in the future. \n \nThey  invite members of the public to attend who have had experience of end of life care (e.g. they could be carers\, bereaved carers\, service users and hospice volunteers).  Public attendees travel will be paid (claimed back after the event but we can help if this causes problems) and that they will receive a voucher to thank them for their time. \nPlease reserve your place.

SUMMARY:Living Well with Respiratory Conditions
DESCRIPTION:Bedfordshire Wellbeing Service are running a new respiratory group which will commence on the 3rd Feb 2019 and run from Gilbert Hitchcock House\, Bedford at 6pm.\nThe group will last five weeks and is aimed at patients who are unable to attend Pulmonary Rehabilitation due to work or other commitments or who wouldn’t necessarily meet symptomatic criteria yet\, i.e. newly diagnosed. There will be elements of education\, symptom management\, maintaining wellbeing and emotional wellbeing as well as planning for the future. \nThis course aims to educate and support people in coping with breathlessness and other challenges associated with a respiratory condition.  It will help to build awareness of the practical and emotional impact it may have.  It supports people to develop skills in managing their condition and live life to their full potential.
