Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) may potentially get government funding for the provision of Changing Places Toilets (CPTs) in Central Bedfordshire.

Door to CPT

Changing Places Toilets enable anyone, regardless of their disability, to go to the shops, attend hospital appointments, enjoy community life, socialise and travel. All the things that most of us take for granted every day. People with profound and multiple learning disabilities or with physical disabilities such as spinal injuries, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis often need extra equipment and space to allow them to use the toilets safely and comfortably. CPTs should be provided in addition to standard accessible toilets.

CBC want to know where you believe are the best locations.

They need to hear from both residents who might currently make use of CPTs or would potentially use if provided:

and from businesses/venues who would like to be considered to accommodate a CPT:

In making Central Bedfordshire a great place to live and work, CBC are keen to identify priority locations for the development of CPTs.
