Do you receive adult social care services? Then look out for a letter asking for your views
Throughout January and February, Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) will be sending out the annual Adult Social Care Survey (ASCS) to a selected group of adults, aged 18 and over, who receive long-term support services funded or managed by social services. This survey, conducted by councils in England on behalf of NHS England, is an important opportunity to share your experiences and help shape the future of care and support services. If you receive the survey, we encourage you to take the time to complete it as your voice matters.
CBC values your feedback – Your voice matters
Recipients of the letters will be selected at random and will receive their survey through the post. They can then choose to complete it and return it using the enclosed freepost envelope. If they do not wish to complete it, they do not have to do so, and this will not affect the service(s) they or the people they care for receive.
The survey asks people about their quality of life and the impact that the services they use have. It also collects information about self-reported general health and wellbeing.
The results will be used by organisations such as the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and the Care Quality Commission, as well as Central Bedfordshire Council. Completing the survey is important as it helps CBC to understand what works and what needs improving, and to ensure that the council are getting the services right.
If you, or a member of your family, receive the survey please do fill it in and return it as it will help provide the insight to develop future services.
